If Something Happened and Couldn’t Install A Feature! How to Fix it?

Method to Fix If Something Happened and Couldn’t Install A Feature:

1. Disable or Uninstall your Antivirus Software:

First of all, you should type Settings in the Search bar and then just select it. After this, you should choose Apps from the Settings menu. At last, you should look for the antivirus in Search bar and then hit on Uninstall program.

2. Check that you have Enough Space:

For this, in the Search bar you need to write Storage settings and then choose it. At last, you should check the storage is enough to update Windows 10. Because, sometimes issue occur because of the lack of storage space. In order to fix it, you should free up some storage in your computer.  

3. Use Administrator Account:

You should find Media Creation Tool .exe file and then right-tap on it. After this, you should select Run as administrator from the menu. At last, you should move further by updating Windows.

4. Check Certain Services are Running:

The customer should go to the Search bar and then write Services and then select Services. If the Services window opens up on your screen, then just search for the below services:

Automatic Updates OR Windows Update

Background Intelligent Transfer Service

Server

Workstation

TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper

IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules

Now, you should find the services which are listed and then double tap on it. Here, you should check the Startup type section and then set Startup type to Automatic. Next, you should check the Service status. In case, it’s not set to Running, then you should tap on the Start button in order to start the service. At this point, you should hit on Apply and OK option to save the changes. The user can repeat the Steps for all the services. When it is done, then you should close the Services window and just restart your computer.

5. Delete SoftwareDistributionDownload Folder:

To delete SoftwareDistribution Download Folder, you should visit to

C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload folder

After this, you should open Command Prompt as administrator. Now, you should tap on Windows Key + X together and then select Command Prompt as Admin from the list. If Command Prompt begins, then you should write the below commands:

net stop wuauserv

Now, you should delete everything from the folder

C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload

Here, you need to go back to Command Prompt and then run the below code:

net start wuauserv

wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Lastly, you should close Command Prompt and then navigate to Control Panel and then choose Windows Update option.
